The Role: Design Engineer – Construction Industry (Geotechnical/Structural)

The Location: Alton, Hampshire

The Package: £27,000 - £29,000 Basic + Excellent Benefits



The Person:

As a Design Engineer you will have working knowledge of the latest geotechnical and structural design methods and design codes and will have experience in retaining wall design. You will be a skilled designer that can handle a complex and varied role and will possess excellent communication, design, report writing and presentation skills. You must have working knowledge of construction processes, methods and site practices and will to make initial technical and commercial judgments based on available information prior to consultation with your superiors.



The Role:

The role of the Design engineer is to provide design and technical advice in all disciplines for estimating and construction purposes.

Main Duties involve:

Prepare designs in accordance with Works Procedures and get design approval for the designs
Provide technical and design support to all departments.
Contribute to the continued improvement of the design process within the department.
Keep up to date with current technological and design developments through Continuing Personal Development.
