As a well established company with a very experienced, professional and dedicated workforce, our client has a good reputation for their range of agricultural, construction and groundcare machinery. Offering an extensive range of products and expert advice, their customer service is heralded as second to none. To maintain this enviable position they are now looking to recruit a Service Manager to join their Darley Dale team.

This is a great opportunity to join an enthusiastic branch with exceptional team spirit who has the ultimate aim of providing excellent customer service and building the business for the future.

As the Service Manager your role will be to manage a service department, with responsibility for 3 service engineers and 1 apprentice.

This position will require impressive service management experience where you will be responsible for delivering the highest level of service. This will involve speaking to customers, booking jobs, and organising service calls. Our client will provide full training on their products and for the right person, will offer the potential for career development.

At peak times, as the Service Manager you will play a hands-on role, working in the workshop and training the existing workforce. This position will also involve overseeing the service office clerk, and carrying out some administration work including dealing with warranty claims, fault diagnosis and booking service courses.

Essential to your success in this position will be your previous service management experience, ideally gained within an agricultural, construction or groundcare machinery environment.

Experienced Service Managers from similar industries such as mechanical machinery or the automotive sector will also be considered, as would experienced service technicians who wish to progress and move into management.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a good salary with a profit share bonus, company pension scheme, company vehicle, mobile telephone and other related benefits.
